The River Liffey flows through the heart of Dublin City.

Dublin as a Swimming City is a body of research about Dublin’s relationship with it’s main river and in particular the swimmers who use the Liffey as their swimming pool.

I was invited to exhibit at Sheffield Institute of Arts in a group exhibition called ‘ TRESPASS!’

I made this book 17 Bridges (press on the title to view) for the exhibition. The book was about a summer where a group of swimmers decided to jump off every bridge on the river Liffey from Heuston Station to the Eastlink Bridge and raises questions of ownership and trespass. The TRESPASS! exhibition also showed two of my films ‘Urban Swimming’ and ‘in – with – along –  through’ and a laser cut drawing of bridge jumping in the River Liffey.
